The pirate captain dressed in black
Ordered the crew to attack
Guns were fired, cannons thundered
Soon their ship would be plundered
He threw down his periscope
And grabbed a long hook and rope
He used to rope to swing aboard
Then he drew his gleaming sword
Before long, his whole dark horde
All grabbed ropes and swung aboard
Except of course, let’s not forget
The poor diseased man, John Lapet
Captain Slaughter claimed the head
Of every man who turned and fled
Before long he’s drenched in red
Blood that he couldn’t have bled
The Rose heard fighting up above
And ran outside to find his love
The man of Frost kept one glass eye
Fixed firmly on the blonde haired guy
The man of Frost drew his cold sword
He’d kill him if he came aboard
The Rose swung his sword with might
Killing pirates left and right
Captain Justice loads his gun
Fired it off, and killed someone
Always waiting in the wings
Searching for his golden ring
The priest swung to Slaughter's ship
Gave the waiting guards the slip
He made it to the decks below
To start a fire that would grow
Boards were placed between the ships
Orders escaped the Captain's lips
"Hold them back and don't retreat!
Soon it will be their defeat!"
Across the bridge, the Rose crossed
He's stopped by the Man of Frost
The air around him, white and cool
Between the ships, they all did duel
Captain Justice dropped his guns
And to his own cabin he runs
He comes back with a shining sword
Studded with a gold reward
Across the battle, he sees Slaughter
With the ring that's for his daughter
With burning eyes, he does proceed
Towards the man who cannot bleed
Beneath the deck, the priest explores
He comes upon the big locked doors
Thoughts of treasure on his mind
The room where LaPet's confined
Between the ships, the noble Rose
Is in his fastest fencing pose
They clash together, their swords grind
Tongues of ice grab them and bind
With both of their swords attached
They're locked and they're matched
The swords clattered to the floor
They'd use fists to settle the score
Savan slowly picks the lock
And removes the heavy block
To where the diseased man is found
Sprawled out and pale across the ground
From above, there roared the shots
Where LaPet lays, the old wood rots
He slowly climbs up to his feet
Smelling of decaying meat
In the damp, disease filled lair
The priest does kneel with a prayer
And soon a shining shaft of light
Began to repel all the blight
The holy light did push him back
His festered skin began to crack
The grace of God did strike him dead
The skin stripped from his rotting head
The golden light flashed and shone
Until he was stripped to the bone
The priest continued the routine
'till all of the deck was clean
The priest finished off his prayer
And left the bones just laying there
Up above the captains clashed
Their silver swords both sparked and flashed
The captain's sword hit Slaughter's arm
But it bounced off, free of harm
"You forget that I can't bleed!
Give up now, you can't succeed"
While the Frost man fought the Rose
Blood was frozen to his nose
The Rose grabbed the Man of Frost
And off the walkway he was tossed
The sea he hit was solid ice
The Rose jumped down and hit him twice
On frozen ground, between the ships
The Rose loses balance and he slips
To end the duel and win his love
The Man of Frost took off his glove
His bare hand on the Rose's vest
And soon a chill enters his chest
He holds him to the icy ground
As the frost gathers around
The ice crept up, and it froze
The valiant despairing Rose
Yes my friends, the poor Rose lost
To the icy Man of Frost
The man climbs onto the deck
"Now let's make a nice shipwreck"
He poured beer on Justice's ship
Struck a match, gave it a flip
Our hero's ship is soon on fire
He and Slaughter must climb higher
They're climbing up to the crow's nest
Justice's stabs can't cut his chest
Up to where the cold wind blows
To escape the flame below
The evil captain taunted him
"We both know that you can't swim!"
meanwhile, down between the ships
The ice begins to crack and chip
Watching the fight up above
The Rose thought about his love
The warmth that the Rose had felt
Made the ice begin to melt
The ice broke, the Rose was free!
Now swimming in the freezing sea
He climbed onto Slaughter's boat
And grabbed Frosty by the throat
His hand began to freeze like winter
He picked up a sharpened splinter
And drove it into Frosty's guts
The wood splintering as it cuts
The blood froze him to the wood
Pinned against the wall, he stood
The Rose lit up a burning torch
And quickly made Frost's flesh scorched
Rose climbed onto the ship's stern
And watched the pale ice man burn
The Man of Frost cried out in pain
In a minute, he was slain
Fighting up in the crow's nest
Justice was stabbed in the chest
Fighting in the fume of smoke
"You can't win!" Slaughter spoke
Justice grabbed a nearby rope
This would be his only hope
"You will hang up with my sail
Justice will always prevail!"
He threw the rope around his neck
And sent him plunging to the deck
And beneath the rising smoke
The captain kicked as he did choke
Justice climbs to where the captain swings
"Give me back my daughter's ring!"
He took it back, and said goodbye
And left Slaughter there to die
Savan got a rowboat ready
Stocked with treasure, but still steady
He rowed beneath the captain's post
Ready to row to the coast
The captain swung down to the boat
So much loot, barely afloat
He slips the ring onto his hand
And sets a course for nearby land
They row and pick up the rose
Ice still clinging to his clothes
He is clutching his lizzbeth
The girl for which he had braved death
All the crew that had survived
Took Slaughter's ship and they arrived
On a sunny nearby beach
Where Savan began to preach
They divided up the gold
From captain Slaughter's cargo hold
A fortune here for every man
Long enough for your lifespan!
The Rose and his love touched lips
In the background, the burning ships
His feet twitching above the water
The burning corpse of captain Slaughter

Not breathing. No pulse. It's probably too late. You're already dead. Not a great time to consider
ETERNITY.

I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.
I was enthralled the entire poem... constantly wondering what will happen next... who will fight who...
Very dramatic~ I was on the edge of my seat!
A happy ending

Careening down a dank alley, I hit a brick wall...
No revenge is more honorable than the one not taken.
I'm glad I don't have to pretend to be someone that I'm not...
Glad you liked it... it was lots of fun to write (although it took one full day to do)...
Stay tuned for another series... a very very darrrk series... or perhaps a spinoff with Savan
Now when will you get back on msn/aim?
